I never really worked out a title for this painting. It is the last acrylic painting that I did before switching to oils. It is done on multiple canvases as an experiment in adding an extra artistic element.
The Gum Tree in the foreground has grown out of a logged field in defiance of the attempt to clear the land. It has grown into the shape of the proverbial “Mother Nature” as a symbol of the will to preserve life in the face of destruction.
Maybe I should have called it ‘Perseverance” ? 🙂
