This is my latest painting. I call it “Salt of the Earth” I am really pleased with this one…… I am sure I say that all the time, but I REALLY like this one. All of these paintings will all be for sale at my next exhibition. I will post the invite soon.

Hey there………. So here is my final painting for this current exhibition. It is representative of the way we as humans are entwined with our environment. The subject could either be hiding behind the vine, coming out from behind the vine, or being held back by the vine………… Or maybe they are both one and the same!
I call it “Entangled” as it is a follow up to my previous painting “”Emergent”. I had a lot of fun with the lighting on this one.

Hi everyone
This is my latest painting…… A series of 4 portraits depicting youth and old age, boy, girl, man, woman, black and white. The faces fit together along the crack line down the middle. They are meant to be half stone, half human denoting an eternity of contemplation. If you look in the eye you can see YOU, the viewer, looking into the painting.

“Emergent”

Hi everyone
Just finished this one last week…….. I am really happy with this one. As always it is oil on canvass and done over 5 canvases just to add a different perspective to the standard oil painting.
The title “Emergent” refers to a ‘coming out’ or transformation. The subject is being pulled from the stone by a vine which is meant to be symbolic of a “Giver of Life”. The subject is also in a foetal position, insinuating birth.

Finally finished my latest oil painting. It was a mission!!! But I am REALLY happy with the result. It is definitely the best thing I have ever painted. I really enjoyed doing a portrait style painting so I may do some more.
Once again it is an Oil Painting on Canvass – 1.5m x 1.5m (its big!!!!)
